A 29,000 square foot multi-purpose arena designed to fit into the existing campus of the Woodstock High School, to support adjacent outside athletic field sports and functions within the arena. The construction consists of masonry walls, a steel superstructure, and a reinforced concrete foundation. The facility was funded by a private group of donors and given to the Woodstock High School to provide for year-round athletic, community and multicultural events. The facility includes year-round ice making capabilities, a pro shop, food service, 4 team rooms, official’s room, a coaches room, a lobby, a rink managers office, bathrooms, special event capacity for 2,000 and permanent seating for 250. Activities and events which have been held at the arena to date include; hockey, figure skating, curling, spring and fall field sports practices, health classes, graduation ceremonies, trade shows, a circus, roller derby, red cross blood drives and much more.
